Paul Benson posted a pretty cool slide show on ColumbusUnderground recently that imagines a comprehensive passenger rail network for central Ohio being constructed between 2014 and 2024. Here’s an image of the final network:
I think it’s really important that any future rail proposals in Columbus have a longer range map like this. A major new passenger rail line is likely to require a sales tax increase. In order to build enough support from voters, they need to see how it will benefit them, if not today then someday in the future.
