Depending on how many are riding to the game, Buckeye football fans using the COTA park-and-ride shuttle service at the Ohio Exposition Center probably will pay more this fall.
The good news is that each vehicle parked at the Expo Center would be charged $5, down from $10 last season.
But each person riding the bus would be charged $2 one way and $4 round trip. Last season, the round-trip fare between the Expo Center and stadium was $1 for those who parked and $3 for walk-ups.
“It truly depends on how many people are in a vehicle as to whether you are paying more or less than before,” said Doug Moore, the Central Ohio Transit Authority’s vice president of planning and service development.
For example, a person traveling to an Ohio State game alone would pay $9 to park and ride the bus to and from the game, down from $11 last season.
But it would cost $21 for a vehicle carrying four people, up from $14 last season.
