The minimum costs for making major improvements to the Interstate 71 interchange with I-270, from U.S. 23 on the east and south to Stringtown Road, is about $125 million, Ohio Department of Transportation officials reported Friday during a presentation for Grove City-area officials.
The amount set aside for making these various fixes: not much of anything at all.
A $16-million project to widen the two bridges that carry I-270 over the Scioto River is in the pipeline, with construction scheduled to begin in August 2009 and completion expected a little over two years later.
