Maybe it’s just me, but I find that claim above to be about 100 times more unbelivable than the declaration that Columbus is the Independent Arts Capital of the World.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
Eat your heart out, Groveport.
Move over, Obetz.
Canal Winchester has stolen the spotlight away from its neighboring suburbs by touting itself as “the premier tourist destination in southeastern central Ohio” to a captive audience of thousands flying on Skybus Airlines.
The village of 5,500, about 20 minutes from Downtown Columbus, has become the first sponsor of Skybus’ “landing announcements,” one of several sponsorship opportunities the Columbus startup airline is selling to raise money. Through Jan. 15, as every Skybus flight lands in Columbus, a flight attendant will extol Canal Winchester’s charms to passengers.
In all, more than 100,000 travelers will hear that the village is “home to several unique shopping, dining and recreation facilities.”
