Ohio motorists pay the 17th highest gas tax in the country, but it is still below the national average, according to a study released by the Tax Foundation.
The total gas tax in Ohio is 46.4 cents per gallon.
Motorists in California pay the highest gas tax at 62.8 cents while Alaskans pay the lowest at 26.4 cents.
The national average is 46.9 cents per gallon.
The total consists of federal, state and local gas taxes.
