THE COLUMBUS DISPATCHDiscount bus service Megabus.com said yesterday that it will add Pittsburgh to its route map from Columbus.
The company, which offers tickets for as little as $1 each way when booked in advance, already travels to Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Chicago from Columbus.
…The service from Columbus to Pittsburgh will begin on May 11 and will include two daily departures. The news about local service came yesterday, as Megabus named Pittsburgh a new hub, with nine new connecting cities. Cleveland and Toledo are also gaining Pittsburgh service.
Although customers could book additional trips to other cities leaving from Pittsburgh, Megabus does not guarantee such onward trips if a connection is missed, a spokeswoman said. Other cities announced as connectors from Pittsburgh include Buffalo, N.Y., and Toronto. Megabus already serves New York and Philadelphia from Pittsburgh.
Megabus has two departure sites in Columbus: the Ohio Union at Ohio State University and Downtown, just west of High Street and Nationwide Boulevard.

I picked up some tickets from Columbus to Pittsburgh the first day they went on sale. Four people, round trip, on a weekend… grand total: $8.50.
Is it hard to take all the junk that you need for a baby on the bus? I also worry about disturbing other passengers if my young man freaks out for some reason.
