Columbus To Upgrade Thousands Of Street Crossing Signals
Friday, October 29, 2010The city is starting a project that will upgrade thousands of street crossing signals at intersections throughout Columbus. About 1,000 intersections, including some currently without any street crossing signals, will feature new, energy efficient displays.

This might be a win-win-win-win. The city will move towards compliance with the new MUTCD requirement for countdown ped crossing signals, improve energy efficiency, walkability, and ped safety. Well done Columbus.
