THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
Rally, revelry turn N. High St. into Fright St.

Be frightened, if you wish, of those pirates and zombies out begging this evening. But it’s the Arena District and Short North traffic that might be the real scare.
N. High Street between Buttles and Hubbard avenues will be closed at 5p.m. for the Short North’s new masquerade party, HighBall. People have known about that for a while.
Then came word of another snarl: the John McCain rally, featuring California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger at Nationwide Arena. The doors open at 3 p.m., so maybe most supporters will be inside by the time the event starts at 5p.m., the same time as High Street’s closing.
And 5 p.m., of course, is not a great time to be driving in Downtown and its surrounding neighborhoods on a normal weeknight.
