Engineers pick where barrels soon will bloomHenderson, Clime roads to undergo major rebuildsWednesday, February 6, 2008 3:24 AMBy Tim DoulinTHE COLUMBUS DISPATCH…Town Street from Civic Center Drive to High Street will be closed for a $6.5 million going-over. Detours will be marked when work begins this spring; it’s expected to be finished in the fall.
…The Town Street project is marked as “committed,” meaning it will happen. Labeled as “likely” is the conversion of Front Street to two-way between Broad and Rich streets.
Henderson Road will undergo a $4.6 million reconstruction between N. High Street and Rt. 315. The work is expected to begin in spring and finish in December. One lane of eastbound traffic between High and Starret Road will be maintained. Westbound traffic will be detoured to W. North Broadway, and Rt. 161 could be another alternative, Blackwood said
….The first phase of Clime Road, which will cost $6 million, is the other big project for the county. The road, from just east of Demorest Road to Harrisburg Pike, will be widened to three lanes; bicycle lanes will be added along with sidewalks on both sides of the street.
